Why Do I Need a Spare Microsoft License During Setup?

During the setup of Qaller Teams, the portal automatically creates a temporary user account in the customer's Microsoft 365 tenant. This account is used to activate the customer's domain for Microsoft Direct Routing — the technology that connects Qaller Teams to Microsoft Teams.

Microsoft requires any user account in a tenant to have an active license assigned. Without a license, the account cannot be created, and the domain activation will fail.

This is why you need one or two spare Office 365 licenses available before starting the setup. Any of the following license types will work:

• Business Basic

• Business Premium

• E1, E3, or E5
